ASU/UA with a GED and no SAT?

I had looked at ASUs admissions page and saw that the SAT/ACT is optional(though recommended). You only need to meet at least ONE of the following requirements:
1.)Top 25% in high school graduating class
2.)3.0 GPA in competency courses (4.0 = A)
3.)ACT 22
4.)SAT Reasoning 1040
At the bottom of that part it says General Educational development(GED) students with a score of 500 or above also MEET admissions requirements.
I am 16 and my GED score was 546(when converted is equal to around a 3.2-3.3 GPA and a little bit better than top 30% of my “graduating class”)

U of A requires the student to have a GED score 500+ to be considered for admission. You also don’t need SAT/ACT score when you apply or to be accepted, you only need the score for scholarships or placement. If you decide to submit it you have all the way up to May 1 to be re-reviewed for scholarships.

So I was thinking to apply without my SAT scores for now and see if I get accepted.

I AM going to take my SAT on March 8 but I don’t want to apply that late(I’d probably have better chances applying with more spots, than the end where it’s more competition for the last spots). So I might just add my SAT score later or reapply for the same semester(if that’s possible) if I am denied. What do you think?

Apply! ASU will accept 9 out of 10 applicants, you have nothing to loose, take the SAT and so long as you hit 1040 you will receive some aid. UofA is a ‘holistic’ review taking into account EC’s & transcript etc, but they will accept 3 out of 4 applicants, though aid is not as likely as at ASU. Good luck

Thank you, I do have nothing to lose! & thanks for telling me that about UA! I really didn’t know too much about it other than its academics.
