At a lost at which colleges I have a shot at.

<p>Hey guys, I am a senior in high school and was interested in applying to some places, but I have no idea where I have a shot at.</p>

<p>here are some colleges I am thinking about, UVA, UNC, William and Mary, Stanford, JHU. Do I have a good chance at any of these? Where are some other places that I would have a chance at that are similar to these colleges?</p>

<p>Basic:
Male, From VA
Average high school(barely anyone ever goes to Ivy league), I go to a Governor's school for math and science and research, and all other classes at my regular high school.</p>

<p>Academics: (after senior year will be around)
GPA - Unweighted: 3.95 ;GPA - Weighted: 4.3 to 4.4
Class Rank: 1-12 out of 360</p>

<p>Scores:
SAT: Took 3 times, best in June (690 M, 650 CR, 640 W) so 1980 and 1340 M+CR</p>

<p>ACT- 32 composite- 31 writing(29 with essay), 35 math, 32 Reading, 29 science, writing sub score was an 8.</p>

<p>AP Euro: 4. AP Eng Lang: 4. AP USH: 5 AP Calculus AB- 4(one of 2 junior kids to take it)
senior year AP's: AP Stat</p>

<p>SATII's- math II- 660, US history- 720, physics- 620</p>

<p>Extra Curricular:
-NHS -will probably be officer at our school (find out next year)
-Varsity Club - those with Athletic and academic varsity letter
-Key Club, Spanish Club,</p>

<p>Leaderships Positions:
-Governor’s School Student Activites Board
-Train people at Hospital (will have around 200hrs)
-Class officer two years in a row, Class treasurer for Junior and Senior year.
-Lead Senior Photographer for Journalism class
Sports: (20 hrs/week - all year round, including summer)
-Indoor Track - Varsity Letter - senior co-captain, all district 2 mile runner
-Outdoor Track - Varsity Letter - senior co-captain, all district
-Cross Country - Varsity Letter - senior-co captain, ran at districts,regions, states- helped team place 8th at states. Might get top 3 in states this year as a team.</p>

<p>Volunteer/Service Work/work:
-Volunteering at the Lynchburg General Hospital (200 hours)
-Relay for Life - participated two years.
-Angels race volunteer
Kick Butt's Day Volunteer
- I basically volunteer whenever I get a chance to
-Worked at my families convenient store only to help give them a break, no pay.
-help parents do taxes as well as other peoples taxes</p>

<p>Honors/Awards:
-Accepted to Central Virginia's Governor's School - a school for Science and Technology.
-Participated at annual school trig-star tournament (trigonometry) - placed 1st won $200
-Academic award for excellence all years in High school
-AP Scholar with Distinction and aiming for National AP Scholar
-All District medal for two mile in indoor track.</p>

<p>College/ Summer Programs:
-Taking classes at local community college (CVCC)
-Dean's list</p>

<p>Extra (academic):
-Ive received 2 b's but by only one point, and I am trying to get one of them changes</p>

<p>My essays will be about my journeys through life, and something else I dunno yet
Guidance Counselor Recommendation will be average for the guidance counselor is new and does not know me well. My teacher recs will be a little above average.</p>
