AT&T customers 15% discount for UCI students

I remember I visited UCI early summer, and there were some AT&T associates at a booth offering discounts to UCI students 15% off their monthly payments, JUST for being a student at UCI.

I was still not considered a full-fledged UCI student, without a student ID, so I couldn't sign up.

But did anyone else hear about this?

Actually, not a lot of people know about this, including UCI students.

[NACS - AT&T Wireless](<a href=“Office of Information Technology | UCI”>Office of Information Technology | UCI) for AT&T
or
[NACS - Telephone Services](<a href=“Office of Information Technology | UCI”>Office of Information Technology | UCI) for other service providers.

It says UCI Faculty or Staff, but students work just fine; I signed up with T-mobile with no problems.

So for this do you have to open up a new ATT account? or can we do a family plan sort of thing?

If I recall correctly, you can apply the monthly discount (with ATT or any provider) to your current account if you designate yourself as theprimary account holder(ie. from your parents to you). You should be able to do this without interrupting your current plan. At least that’s what they told me in the email a while back.

Email a representative at the contact given on the sites above and see what’s up.

Is there any website that lists the discounts for students? Because the one posted says:

“The information in this web page is for UCI faculty and staff only. Please visit a local AT&T Wireless store if you are not a UCI employee.”

My family’s plan is about to expire like next week! hahaha

awww snappp iphone here i come!!!

from what i could tell from the page, it seems that we have to pay $36 dollars per line…since we’re not faculty
that’s more then what i pay for my actual bill
i’ll pass
