how many of you guys have seen a relationship an atheist and a christian (a hardcore one)?

the ones i know of are interesting...usually the christian is all adamant about his religion but softens up in front of his or her partner...the atheist never really cares about his/her partner's religious views, regardless of how hard of an atheist he/she is

…what about a Mormon / Agnostic-Athiest relationship?
just curious ;)

When I first started dating my bf, I was hardcore Catholic and he was hardcore Atheist. I never pushed my religion on him and he didn’t push his on me. We had very long and deep conversations that challenged both of our faiths. I even got him to come to Church with me sometimes. My Christianity annoyed him and his atheism annoyed me, but it wasn’t the focal point of our relationship.

Over three years later, we are still together but our faith is not. We are both some sort of weird mix of Agnostic-Pagan-Humanists. We have been together for so long that we went on spiritual journeys at different times and simply ended up, relatively, at the same spot.

I’m atheist and my ex-boyfriend is Mormon, although I think he actually leant towards Buddhism? Either way, religion really didn’t come up much at all. People are so much more than their faith - even if /they/ feel like it’s the only thing in their life.

We did joke about him taking me to church though, haha. (It never happened.)
