Hi, I had a 3.22 GPA in high school but was a late bloomer, did better junior and senior year, and got a 31 on the ACT. Right now I am at a slightly above average, mid-sized school and am getting a 4.0 as a college freshman. I don't mean to be that guy, but I just don't feel like I am being challenged as much as I want to be. I ran track and field and cross country for 4 years in high school and my best PRs were 4:48 in the 1600 and 10:24 in the 3200. My HS coaches also told me that I have a lot of upside (from being a late bloomer), and that I would likely improve a lot in college if I ran, although I am not on the varsity team at my current school (though still running). Would I stand a chance at being admitted to these schools for Fall 2015 if I applied as a transfer and an athlete (and I think I can run much faster times than my high school times this spring in track)?

I’m not sure about your academics, but I’m a senior in southern California and those times are not competitive as a top racer from where I’m from. Unless you improve a lot those times probably won’t help you all that much with getting in. Granted Southern California has some of the fastest kids in the nation, but there are tons of kids running those times. on my team there are at least five guys faster than those times and the guys on my team are the slowest in our league by far. And that’s just our league with 4 other teams.
