<p>An appointment can be awarded as soon as a nomination from a Member of Congress can be obtained, no sooner.</p>

<p>USMMA nominations can be submitted to the Academy between August 1 and January 31.</p>
<p>PS - Remember, there are no Presidential, Vice-Presidential, military-affiliated, JROTC-honor unit, ROTC or Unit Commander, or Medal of Honor nominations to the USMMA.</p>
<p>You need to check how early YOUR Congressman and YOUR US Senators award their nominations, as it doesn't matter one bit how early any other MOC (Member of Congress) does it. Only your MOCs have the legal authority to nominate you to the USMMA.</p>
