I am a national level athlete, A's in Honors. I want to go to Ivy League, but I understand they "do not give athletic scholarships". Can they /Do they ever work with an athlete to grant tuition for competitive athletes? Or, should I cut out Ivy League and plan on full ride to Penn State? Thanks.

they don't officially give scholarships. however, they do have very generous financial aid. depending on your sport and skill, it could be even more generous, or you might find your way to some grant money. you should be talking to the coach. regardless though, their financial aid, especially at princeton, is very strong and i would see how much could get taken care of anyway before going straight to the athletic scholarship that penn st could give you

Princeton has a great financial aid package. They have eliminated loans altogether for all undergraduate students, not just athletes.

If you accept and attend, they will give you a full ride if you can't afford tuition. And the best thing is you are not required to participate in the sport they recruited you for (you should at least try it, but you are not obligated to.) So in this sense Princeton's financial aid is at least equal to what Penn State could give you in an athletic scholarship.
