how much ass do you to kick to get recruited by an athletic coach? What if im really interested in heavy-weight rowing..but never rowed as an actual sport ..do they have p.e. classes for such?

also, does the music department do recruiting? through the supplemental music submission?

Cornell's athletic teams are freaking awesome

i don't know anything about their rowing team, though i'm pretty sure you can't be recruited for it if you've never done it :)

you can def get recruited for rowing, though it helps to have done it before. There are PEs in everything from rock climbing to rowing to massage to windsurfing. if you're not recruited and you're tall and slim, you get accosted repeatedly by rowers who want you to join during orientation week haha (6'5" 180 lbs). You generally have to be really good at most sports to be recruited here. Cornell has 12000+ undergraduates and is D1 in everything except football (D1 A or something, since we don't have athletic scholarships, just like all the other ivies)
