<p>Is Chapman a preppy place? My dad rather wants me to go here, I'd rather go to a small LAC but as Chapman's film program appears to be good I wouldn't mind going- as long as the atmosphere isn't too preppy and rah-rah and all that. It seems like it is, but is it /very/ preppy? I'm not sure if I would fit in and enjoy that... I'm sort of what one could describe as Goth, I love art, literature, despise sports and partying. Should I apply to Chapman or would it be just too hard for me to feet at home there?</p>

<p>It depends where you study, etc. Each department has a different “type” of student. The film department is more artsy and chill people, you’ll prolly like it. The main campus majors for the most part are in line with what you’re talking about.</p>
<p>I agree, you should try and visit the campus. My mom really wanted me to go to Chapman but I wasn’t too enthused about it. Then I visited and realized it was exactly what I was looking for in a college! You really have to judge for yourself.</p>
