After I’ll get my finances together, I’m planning on going back to community college. My major will be general studies. When I’ll graduate and attend a four-year college, I’ll have to declare a major (I’m planning on applying to UMBC and Towson University).
I wanted to become a nurse but I can’t major in that because of my medical issues.
No responses. I’m not sure of your question. I assume your medical limits involve among of weight you can lift and staying on your feet and such. What do you like about nursing, attracts you? Are there other jobs that have the same attributes but maybe less stress on your body. What are your talents? I really know nothing about you and range of medical-related professions.Nevertheless, I am optimistic you could find something that doesn’t compromise your joints and sensitivity to pain. For example, I would have liked audiology, speech and language, OT or music therapy, but whatever suits you. Also, regarding campus. Please think about the distance you must walk , climate and snow or ice removal, temperatures that increase your pain, college transportation services. I think as an extension you need to lay out for yourself your physical limits and what you need to do to compensate for them. susan
