Attn sex at brown on TV tonight -

O’reily is doing a segment on brown… it will prob be toward the end. It is an expose on the 2 annual sex parties brown has sponsered by gay alliance. They are called Sex power god and satr*****… no alcohol is allowed at the parties, but kids drink to major excess before hand. this is a clothing optional party and usually ends in pseudo orgy behavior (lots of “hooking up” in public on dance floor with 3 and 4 somes… public sex in the corners of the room and cameras projecting the action onto the wall)… about 25% of the campus attends during thier time at brown. Most ppl claim they dont go each year. THIS party is in the large building ON THE MAIN GREEN. Brown sanctions this. I am a brown student who has never gone to this “party”… but I am sure familar with it. Keep in mind, that staff and teachers are not in attendence… so brown really has no idea what goes on. I doubt o reilly got access, so it will be interesting to see what he has to say. CHECK It out-- it is the seedy side brown does NOT want the public to know about. The U has already sent out internal memos warning kids about it (after the fact) this year.

By the way, even the POSTERS for this party are obscene… this year features 2 brown U female students… one giving oral sex to the other. The other poster this year shows a brown male student wearing womens bras and panties about to get hit by a female student naked cept for S/M gear. there is a website from the gay aliance with a third, less offensive poster if you google sex power god.

O reily on fox at 8 pm or 11.

My point being, Brown is nastier than you think. So, just a word to the wise about anyone considering it.

More people would take you seriously if you used proper grammar

grammar aside, if you do not believe me... then just go to o-reilly's website and check it out.

What is your point? That Brown students party? Nobody made you attend the party, and nobody scorned you for your personal choices. Be mature enough to extend the same respect for personal choices to your classmates. Worry about yourself.

My point is that Brown goes way further from the grain than many ppl think. I feel that students on CC MAY want to know about just ow obnoxious Brown can be... this BEFORE they send off that first check with the application.

This party is the tip of the iceberg with problems at brown.. try googling Professor Lawless.

The U's national reputation is tanking--
If I were applying to Brown, I would want to know that my 200k ivy league degree may not be worth 2 bits in 4 years as this place goes down the proverbial tubes.

word to the wise.

If you are so unhappy with the place transfer out. Since you claim to be a student at 'obnoxious' Brown, why don't you transfer out? Then maybe you will have some credibility on telling others not to apply (much less not to enroll).

^^^
I hope you're kidding- there's 5-6000 students at Brown! Even if you're not, you used "condone" incorrectly. It means "to overlook" rather than "to condemn." :)

Eh? I'm not a Brown student, but even I find this an odd statement. Brown has actually increased dramatically in prestige, quality (esp. in sciences), and selectivity, especially in the last couple years.

Brown is obviously liberal, but I feel pretty confident in saying there's probably plenty of people who don't go to the extreme. Similarly, not everyone at Duke gets boozed up and jumps over bonfires like the public seems to think.

silly charchazwik you made a funny

There are naked parties at Yale, and I don't think their reputation is going down anytime soon.

And quit being a troll Charchazwick.

"brown diversity" obviously doesn't go to brown

SPG and the infamous "naked party" are mutually exclusive events, the latter of which is sponsored by an earthy co-op and asexual by design.

SPG isn't particulary more debaucherous than other college parties--most of the excitement comes from the hype and advertising.

Brown is the most liberal of the Ivies and always has been as far as I know.
For anyone who researched schools beforehand- the fact that adult college students may like to par-tay occasionally, shouldn't come as a shock
Perhaps you would prefer Harvard- whose students publish their own sex magazine?

Thanks for the heads up! I never knew about this and neither did my friend who's applied Brown ED this year. I reminded him to watch.

Work hard, play hard, I always said...

About Yale...it's Yale that has Sex Week at Valentine's. :p

yeah, that party was great

o'reilly is a douche

brown_diversity = bostonian

I saw the episode. It was just funny how horrified O'Reilly and the other guy were. I mean, my parents would probably flip too if they were watching, but whatever, drunken kids will be drunken kids, ivy league degree or not.

seriously, wayyy out of proportion. i dont go to brown or anything but after watching the news seg [and this is oficially my first and last time turning on fox news] it was quite obvious from the way the commentators we referring to brown as such a prestegious, expensive, omggg look where your money is going-> twds crazy homosexual orgies.. nto an education [?] that this was HORRIBLY biased. kids can be crazy. go take a chill pill dudeee.

O'Reilly acts all horrified about sex acts at colleges, but he wrote a book that described sex acts and violence quite vividly.

What a hypocrite. And douche.

That was the epitome of unethical journalism. Can you imagine going out to a big party and having fun then your parents seeing you almost naked on TV?
