I just read the waitlist information page it says those who are on the waitlist can “check their status in Student Planning,” and that’s on the portal. So, not really sure- maybe the portal is opening up later for those on the waitlist?

Can someone just really quickly type how to make an account and find your AUID? I don’t feel like scrolling and searching haha
From MA. Haven’t received anything in the mail, but was able to log in on myAU. I think (and hope) that means I was accepted.
Upstate NY, nothing in the mail which is no surprise because our mail is generally horrible. Was able to create an account on MyAU and an email. It was populated with a lot of university information but nothing specific to admission.

To those who could make an account… where did u do it? also, has anyone who’s been accepted not been able to make an account?
Still saying I’m not on the records when I try to make an account, bad sign? Does anyone know for sure or is it all still speculation, because not being able to seems not ideal.
OMG I just checked the finances page of the portal where it says award amount and it notified me of a scholarship. Idk if this is a glitch or…

THEY GAVE ME A FULL RIDE. IM LITERALLY AT WORK CRYING BUT THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IS PAYING FOR EVERYTHING. God is so good!!!
I’ll only have to pay 5k out of pocket but I have a scholarship that will literally cover that. I can’t even believe this right now!!
Still can’t make an account, so I’m just gonna go ahead and assume its a no. Hopefully I’m proven wrong when the mail comes!
If you haven’t gotten your letter yet, what are you using for your AUID?
your AUID should be at the bottom of any email they’ve sent you. @yayhamlet
Went to the “Financial aid award letter” tab on MyAU, selected year 2018-2019 and saw this…
"Dear XXXX,
American University is pleased to offer the following financial aid award package for your attendance as a degree-seeking student […] Your financial aid award is contingent upon your anticipated full time enrollment"
Then it listed my fin aid, scholarship, etc etc. Once again I didn’t receive anything in the mail yet but I’m assuming this is an acceptance. I’m not sure that those who are waitlisted would be able to select academic year 2018-2019 and view their fin aid package, right? There is also the option to accept my financial aid and more specifics.
Yup, can’t make an account. I feel like crying- I’ve gotten nothing but bad news from colleges the past week. Hopefully the account thing isn’t an indicator but it seems to be pretty accurate so far. 
@yayhamlet don’t lose hope - I went through last year’s thread and found a large amount of people from my state who couldn’t make an account until 4-5 days after decisions were mailed and were accepted. Also people who couldn’t make an account until after their letters came.
I just logged back into the student portal. Looks like we can access a lot more information than about 90 minutes ago…
