AU Scholars vs. AU CBRS

I’m applying for the Honors program and on the application it has an essay about which program I would want to be in if I was not accepted into Honors. The two choices are Scholars and Community Based Research. After reading about both, I’m pretty torn on which one I’d rather be considered for. Does anyone have any experience with either of these or advice about which one I should pick?

My DS & I talked to both Scholars and CBR students at preview day and I think the main difference between the two is CBR is focused on helping the local community and you will be involved in a large community based service project, while the AU Scholars is more like Academic Research that could be published. So are you a more hands-on kind of a person or do you love that cerebral realm of discussing big ideas and academic pursuits?

Definitely more of a big ideas/discussions type of person. This helps a lot thanks!
