Does anyone know schools where an acting audition counts in the college admission process? I mean, a school where I can audition to go directly into the drama program.

I already emailed Brown, and they say they dont have auditions... which kind of sucks. but anyways, please help!

Thanks

We just went to a Carnegie Mellon presentation and they said the audition for music and drama counts for 80 percent in those fields, and academics for 20 percent. They gave the deadlines for the programs--here's a link that should help.

NYU. BU. most schools with a good drama/ music/ theater/ musical theater dpearment will require an audition as well as a regualr applicaiton.

do any of the Ivys have auditions?

Well, Yale must, they have a huge school of drama.

i've been trying to research the Yale school, but, to my knowledge, there is only a Yale graduate school (the only part of Yale that is holding auditions). I'm not even sure Yale has a drama undergraduate...
