@gmo913, Sounds great! Makes me wish my son had auditioned on campus instead of at Unifieds. There, it was a quick in-and-out and seemed to be the same for everyone around the time he was auditioning. Good to know for next year’s candidates. Good luck–let’s hope you hear from them next week!
@deesthree Bill said he will be calling all accepted in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I am wondering how denied students will get notified…
@claire74 Thank you! I hope your S hears good news soon!
@gmo913, in the past it has been snail mail for Ball State for denied kids.
How many does ball state accept/waitlist?
@gmo913 So happy to hear you had such a great experience at Ball State. My D is a freshman MTO and loves it! She actually worked the audition this weekend, so you may have met her! it really is a kind and nurturing environment! Im so happy she landed there! Hoping for good news for you…don’t forget…they are looking for potential not perfection! Don’t second guess your audition! Last year my D recieved her call on March 6th. I don’t know the exact number of offers, but I do know that they went to their WL last year.
@gmo913 … last year, rejections were sent via email.
I saw an email today someone received from nyc ball state - it was a “we are very interested in you” - has anyone received this from Chicago or LA?
I received one of this email and I auditioned in chicago
If we didn’t receive this email should we assume we’re not accepted?
My d got a similar letter and she auditioned in November. Don’t want to read too much in to it! Hard to tell just how many people received one.
@katiebean don’t assume that. You never know until you get the call or letter:)
D got an email saying she was being strongly considered for the BFA MT program at Ball State after her audition at Chicago Unifieds and received the call last night that she was accepted!
My D was also impressed with Alabama! Beautiful campus!
Congrats @MTkid2020!!!
Another Ball State mom here. My D got on the WL on the last day of notifications and was able to move off the WL into the BFA program. She LOVES the program and it is as nurturing and nice as everyone has said. It is also very rigorous, she is really being challenged to improve in her craft. So, for those who haven’t yet heard, there still may be hope. My D did not get her WL call until 3/18 last year. Hang in there, everyone! I hope your kids all find their perfect fits!
@Divamamacita still such an amazing story for you and your D! And a helpful reminder to all about the possibilities.
I’ll add another waitlist story from last year. The D auditioned to transfer last year. She had one yes and one WL. She came off the WL on April 30th, now attends that school and is so happy there. I remember other people waitlisted at that school didn’t know until May 1st so it may sometimes take that long to know. Talk about stressful!! Hopefully there won’t be too many late notifications this year. Hang in there, folks!
I predict that NYU will release on April 1st this year - or not much before (It was Friday March 28th for my D two years ago). At least they do it all at once
D got a YEs from a great school, So happy! But waitlisted at her #1 choice. YES school wants an answer by April 1. ??? Hearing about these really late dates that kids get off wl is confusing!
@toowonderful - I think you’re right. My d was told April 1st for NYU during her NYU interview.
