Is it possible to apply to and and audition for both the BFA MT and BFA Acting Program? Are the auditions on the same day? The FSU website indicates that BFA Acting callbacks are held on the day as the audition, so if no callback, then no offer for that program, right - Meaning you’ll know you are out at the time of the audition.
My DD is starting the application and audition journey in the Fall of this year - FSU is her top choice, but she is not totally sure on which BFA program she wishes to pursue.
JunaPi,
It is entirely possible to audition for both Acting and Music Theatre but it is two separate auditions. The admissions panels are different for the two programs. We haven’t set our audition dates for next year yet, but there is always one weekend that is arranged so a student can do both auditions in one trip: Acting on Friday afternoon and Music Theatre on Saturday.
The Acting faculty does do a callback on the day of the audition.
Music Theatre does not have a callback since the entire panel watches all aspects of each candidate’s audition (dance, singing and acting.) They don’t make any decisions until they have seen everyone.
