August 9th Payment

Hello,

According to the Office of the Registrar at Berkeley, it stated that on August 9th, they require payment of the first installment of registration fees. What if we are waiting for our financial aid funds to pay on August 10th?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

if financial aid will pay some or all, wait till that shows up first. There are no consequences for being a few days late.

And the late fee is only $20

it says August 15th, not 9th

On the left column, it says the 9th. What is considered the first installment of the registration fee?

read the statement carefully

August 9th:
Verification of official registration status starts. To be officially registered, student must meet the following requirements:

• Pay at least the first installment of registration fees

• Enroll in at least one course

• Have no blocks

They’re simply explaining what officially registered means. Fees are not due by the 9th but instead, the 15th.

First installment means that you can split up the payment of your registration fees if you don’t want to pay it all at once, 20% or whatnot.

Thanks for help, aeboi.

what is the interest rate in defferd payment vs pay at once?

The only cost for taking deferred payment is a once per semester $40 charge. That is the entire cost.

Say for illustration purposes that you owe 5,000 for tuition for the semester. You can pay it, or you can pay 1,000 on August 15th. The next month, you will pay 1,040 and then 1,000 the final three months.
