Aus. IB student - Chances of Ivies/other universities?

Hi,
I'm from Australia, I'm an IB student and I will take my final exams in November, 2010. Here are my predicted grades (granted they could change between now and next year):

HL subjects:
Economics HL 7
History HL 7
Biology HL 5

SL subjects:
French SL 7
English SL 7
Math studies SL 6 (but I do absolutely nothing for this subject)

extra marks (three maximum) allocated for 2 essays and a presentation. Marks unknown at this stage

Total = 39/45 (not taking into account 3 possible bonus marks)

EC =
- Waterpolo
- School swim team/track team
- Skiing
- Yoga
- 1st quad for rowing
- Cross-country
- Strength & conditioning classes w/ school
- Balmoral Burn (charity fun-run)
- 1st Debating team for my year
- Ballet
- Volunteer waitressing
- Clean up Australia Day (spend a day picking up litter)
- Red Shield Appeal (Door-knock appeal for the Salvation Army)
- volunteer 3 hours a week at the local nursing home
- Bush regeneration
- Intern at an Investment bank
- 2 month language exchange program

I know it's ridiculously hard to get into these schools and I understand my chances are so, so slim. Should I even bother applying? The Ivy League schools I would apply to are Columbia, UPenn, Brown. I might also apply to Northwestern or Chicago. I have a very basic understanding of American schools, and besides from what I find online I'm not too sure of which schools are best for which areas of study. I intend to study Political Science

Asked to re-post in Chances forum -----

My school doesn’t offer GPA but we did take a Government test required for all year 10 students at the end of last year. We are graded in ‘Bands’
A 90% and above = BAND 6
B 80-89% = BAND 5
C 70-79% = BAND 4
D 60-69% = BAND 3
E 40% - 59% = BAND 2
F 40% and under = BAND 1

English - Literacy: Band 6 (91) [5th out of 90 girls]
Mathematics: Band 5 (81)
Science: Band 5 (88)
Australian Geography, Civics and Citizenship: Band 6 (92) [7th out of 90 girls]
Australian History, Civics and Citizenship: Band 6 (90) [3rd out of 90 girls]
Computing Skills: Band 6

I’m taking the SAT’s next year outside school (they don’t offer them) so I’m thinking that those results will give me a better idea. I have current ranks for my classes. (Rankings include all HL/SL students)

English SL = 3rd
Math Studies SL = 5th
French SL = 2nd
History HL = 1st
Economics HL = 2nd
Biology HL = Unsure
