Aus. IB student - Chances of getting into Ivies/other universities?

Hi,
I'm from Australia, I'm an IB student and I will take my final exams in November, 2010. Here are my predicted grades (granted they could change between now and next year):

HL subjects:
Economics HL 7
History HL 7
Biology HL 5

SL subjects:
French 7
English SL 7
Math studies 6 (but I do absolutely nothing for this subject)

we receive extra marks (three maximum) 2 essays and a presentation. Marks unknown at this stage

Total = 39/45 (not taking into account 3 possible bonus marks)

EC =
- Waterpolo
- School swim team/track team
- Skiing
- Yoga
- 1st quad for rowing
- Cross-country
- Strength & conditioning classes w/ school
- Balmoral Burn (charity fun-run)
- 1st Debating team in my year
- Ballet
- Volunteer waitressing
- Clean up Australia Day (spend a day picking up litter)
- Red Shield Appeal (Door-knock appeal for the Salvation Army)
- volunteer 3 hours a week at the local nursing home
- Bush regeneration
- Intern at an Investment bank
- 2 month language exchange program

Most of them I still do. Besides rowing.
I know it's ridiculously hard to get into these schools and I understand my chances are so, so slim. Should I even bother applying? The Ivy League schools I would apply to are Columbia, UPenn, Brown. I might also apply to Northwestern or Chicago. I have a very basic understanding of American schools, and besides from what I find online I'm not too sure of which schools are best for which areas of study. I intend to study Political Science

This should be in the Chances section. Does your school offer grades and GPA separate from those given by the IB? If so, those might be more important than the ones from IB. Do you have a rank in the class? You have an impressive list of ECs, but I don’t see any leadership positions. Are you captain on any of these teams?

If you are looking into financial aid, Dartmouth gives need-based financial aid to internationals just like it does to citizens of the US from what I’ve read.
