I have been researching various T14 law schools like Columbia, NYU and Stanford and they all seem to have average ages of 23 or higher, schools like Michigan stating that over 65% of incoming students were at least 1-2 years removed from undergrad. Because I hope to apply to law school during my senior year of undergrad and do not wish to wait until I am a little older, am I at a disadvantage in the application process? Should I consider taking time off between undergrad and law school? It makes me reconsider the acceptance rates posted by various law schools on their respective websites...

I think this is reflective more of the applicant pool than of a bias in admission policy, but I could be wrong. Keep in mind that you have other advantages now, e.g., a closer connection to your college professors for letters of recommendation.

You shouldn’t be discouraged from applying. If you don’t get into the schools you think you are capable of getting into, you can keep your LSAT score and recommendations, work for a couple of years, and reapply then without much hassle.
