Does anybody know what the average GPA of undergrad engineering students at Rochester is?

UR doesn’t publish that data.

Check out the info at asee.org - that’s the American Society for Engineering Education. If you go to the main page and then under publications you’ll see college profiles. The next page has a link to online profiles. You then search by school. The info is amazing. Look at the left side and you’ll see links to research dollars, degrees awarded, etc.

I point all engineers to this site. You can see exactly how much money an area gets at a school - that Lehigh, for example, gets all its dollars for civil and mining engineering, that BU gets a ton for biomes, etc. Each school has its strengths. You can see UR’s massive optics research - no pun intended.

You can also see faculty allocated by area - though I take those figures with a grain of salt because schools (not UR) have been found to fake data by listing emeritus and people on leave. You can see how many kids are in each area and how many degrees are awarded in each area. That’s also broken down by ethnicity.
