What's the average undergraduate GPA for admitted students at top biz schools such as Stanford, Harvard..etc? I heard GPA is not weighted as heavily as other factors such as the Work experience..

3.5 to 3.6.

It is not weighted as heavily. However, you have to understand that students admitted to these programs are the best of the best (at least on paper). Thus, they generally have high GPAs, great work experience, high GMAT etc...total package.

So if I have a 3.7ish by the time and a graduate and get a good GMAT score, would I be competitive (scorewise).

What constitutes as great work experience? Leadership?

^Those grades and scores would be competeitive, but not really at all deterministic of whether you are accepted. Work experience and essays are much more important to your application.

gellino, I'm glad you answered that because i found his question (or was it a statement?) to be quite ridiculous.

how much does your undergrad school weigh on grad school admissions? i will be attending the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. i know kelley has a decent undergrad ranking, but will top ranked grad schools pick a Ross/wharton/sloan student over me?
