HBS recently started accepting GRE scores instead of just GMAT scores. I've found the average GRE scores for entering students in their 2+2 program, but I haven't been able to find any yet for their default MBA program. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Bump. Hello?

Seeing as how the average GMAT for a 2+2 accepted student was (I believe) a 727-- which is very closely in line with what an average HBS normal applicant would average-- I would seeing using the 2+2 GRE would not be a bad estimate of the regular program itself (though clearly not exact).

GMAT is around 720, so GRE is 1450 ish

I would say* using

[HBS 2+2 Class Profiles - MBA - Harvard Business School](http://www.hbs.edu/mba/profiles/classprofile_2+2.html)

Using the 2+2 GRE scores like I suggested, I would estimate 767+ 679 or 1446 mean, so right exactly in line with what storch said.

According to [HBS 2+2 Class Profiles - MBA - Harvard Business School](http://www.hbs.edu/mba/profiles/classprofile_2+2.html):
Average GRE Q 767
Average GRE V 679
However, see my last sentence below.

This is flawed reasoning. You can’t logically deduct the average total GRE score to be 1446 just by adding the average GRE Math and average GRE Verbal scores.

Moreover, until there is any significant evidence supporting the notion that 2+2 GRE scores translate over to the default MBA program, your guesses are mere guesses.

^ Thanks for correcting me on the GRE point; sorry I’m not as familiar with the GRE so I didn’t know the scores aren’t simply added together.

However, to your second point: My logic (as stated) was that because the average GMAT of 2+2 admits and average GMAT of general MBA admits were very close, I would admittedly guess that the GRE scores of the two programs were somewhat similar.

that has nothing to do with my point, if you bothered to look up a GMAT-GRE converter you would find that my prior comment was accurate

If you are planning on doing business school only(and not considering other graduate programs), the GRE shouldn’t matter anyway. There are plenty of great programs other than HBS that accept the GMAT but not the GRE, so you’ll want to do the GMAT anyway.

I applied to HBS with 1460 GRE. Was enough to get me to the interview round (still a pretty good achievement) but not enough to seal the deal, alas.

how can that be possible…they have started to accept GRE scores for fall 2012 onwards for which no interview has been conducted.they have asked only for applications !!!
