I know that UCLA and USB are out of my reach, however, I am still a bit optimistic about Santa Barbara, Irvine, Davis and perhaps even San Diego. What do you guys think? Any recommendations or flaws in my resume? Any other match colleges besides UC's that would suit me?
I plan on going to med school so even if I end up going to UCR or UCSC it would be fine.

Plus, I will be spending the summer writing some stellar UC essays,

UC’s are very GPA focused so a 3.6 is low for all the UC’s except UCSC and UCR. Your ACT is very competive which may help with UCSB, since they will overlook a lower GPA for a higher test score. You have good EC’s and an outstanding essay may be the extra boost you need to make some of the Low Reach/High Match schools, a Match. Intended major will also affect your chances.

UCD: Low Reach
UCI/UCSB: High Match
UCSC: Match
UCR: Low Match

Thank you for your reply! I’ll try making my essays a tinge over spectacular

Also, if I was applying as a bio major would that negatively impact my chances?

Biology is an extremely popular major so very competitive. I stand by my chances.

I see, bumpppp

bump this to theeee topppp

im proud to say that i will be attending UCSB this fall!!!

Congrats!
