Does anyone have an idea of what the average GPA is for engineering students? Just curious.

I have no idea, and doubt those kind of stats are available. I’d say somewhere in the 3.0-3.3 range, just based on friends of mine. But, I know people who have flunked a few classes and are barely graduating on time, and I know people who have stayed near 4.0.

Just keep in mind that curving is fairly standard in tough courses, so if you aren’t doing well percentage-wise, you may still be doing fine in the class. My Calc for engineering class was curved so that the average was a C+, and my physics for engineering class had some crazy scale where a 70-79 was in the B range or something.

yeah our chemistry class is so 83 and above is an A-

Best was my organic chemistry for chemistry majors class where a 65 was a B. :)
