AWAITING ISIR Correction?

On June 26, my school gave me an unsatisfied requirement stating, " Awaiting ISIR correction for Dept. of Education". I called the school and they explained that I didn’t need to worry and they should receive whatever it is they needed within 2 weeks. Upon checking my FAFSA the next day I noticed a correction had also been made by my school. On July 2, the correction had been processed and on July 3, I recieved an email stating “FAFSA Correction for 2018-2019 has Sucessfully Processed”. Within this email stated everything was processed, updated information was sent to my school, and my SAR was available. Today, July 15 the requirement is still there, and when I called my financial aid office she kept saying, " We are just waiting on the report." I explained to her I got the email stating that the correction processed, and the updated information was sent out, but she kept saying the same thing basically blaming the Dept. of Education for not sending it yet. Has anyone else gone through this? How long does it take for them to receive whatever it is they need? Can I take my SAR to them to use? I also read something where they have to update the correction in their system as well, could this also be the hold up? Thanks in advance!

There are a couple possible explanations … 1) the tech person who loads ISIRs into the school’s system is on vacation; 2) the requirements in the system have to be manually updated & the person who does the updates is on vacation; 3) your file somehow missed getting loaded into the system. If it’s #3, that’s an issue - it does happen. I think that the timing is such that your ISIR should be showing in the system by now. I would call & ask to speak with a manager so you can have her/him make sure there isn’t an issue. The folks who answer the phones don’t always know how to look for bigger issues underlying the question. Frankly, I highly doubt that the Department of Education hasn’t sent it yet … it doesn’t take that long for a processed ISIR to be sent to the school.
