How much does MIT look at award? How about those students who don't have any national, state, or even city level of award?

Depends on what kind of award you are talking about.
I don't have any international awards, but I do have a "class clown" award.

Besides, if you think about it, there are ~1000 students admitted to MIT each year. I don't think there are enough international, national, and even regional "serious" competitions to make every single admitted student an award-winner.

What do you mean by "serious"? I mean, I went to a science fair some time ago. This fair is affiliated with ISEF (ie sends winners there) but by my estimate at least half the participants won some kind of award.

What did I mean by "serious"? Well, use your best judgement.
Do you consider the awards you mentioned above to be "serious"?
The way I see it, if so many people received them, it wouldn't be nice to put these awards on same level with first place on ISEF...
That's just my opinion

There are actually ~1500 students admitted to MIT each year. :) But that just makes Hriundeli's point stand to a greater degree.

My listed awards on the app were NMSF, all-state choir, "outstanding junior" color guard member, and maybe that I'd placed somethingth in the state in the state test of scholastic achievement in biology. Nothing too "serious".

Oopsie - I wanted it to sound like "thousand students are admitted each year"
He-he...sorry :)
Thanks, Mollie!
