Awards/Activities

I have a question about awards.

when you list your awards , honors, or any other activities
do colleges require a 'proof' ??

I mean, let's say I've gotten Perfect attendance award
but if they dont require proofs then I can just put that and other great things in anyways..

If they do require, do you just send the copies of awards??

I want to find out how these work. Thanks in advance!

They don't require "proof" but if you put fake things in they can definitely tell - perhaps not for "perfect attendance" (which wouldn't be all that prestigious anyway) but definitely for regional/national awards. I wouldn't recommend risking it; if they catch just one thing you'll be rejected from that college and they'll probably notify your others as well. Just play by the rules =)

oh so as long as its true.. its fine.. ok cuz i know i got awards but some of the awards i dont have any materials to send.. so is it ok for me to send some stuff for proofs? would they care? would that make my apps look good?

talk w/ the admission office and check out their policy. Explain them ur position and hopefully that'll remove all ur anxiety. As far as I know the colleges really don't have enough time to investigate each & every applicant's portfolio and ensure he/she is true!
