omg, I hate when that happens. that’s why I always look around me before waving back or do a really half-hearted one in case the person wasn’t waving at me.

when you’re turning a corner and you’re really close to it and someone (usually TEXTING AND NOT LOOKING) bumps into you and you’re like
whoops!
oh sorry!
here let me–
no, I’ll–
oh go ahead–
whoops
no you go right ahead-
okay–
ahh sorry, here, I’ll stay in place
haha, okay thanks
sorry!
while stepping right and left and trying to decide how the EFF you’re going to go around this moron…

I usually run into people lol
I hate it when you both are trying to get around each other:/

^ lol same

One person turns some way then I turn that same way and then they turn a different way and I turn that way, then I decide to just stand still L0L.

^That’s exactly what I do lol

When you make up a funny joke and you tell a friend. Then a month later, the same friend tells you the same joke lol

Talking to some random guy at a park for 1/2 hour who apparently was in one of my classes. That was an awkward conversation.

when you’re sitting next to somebody and then the person looks at you out of the corner of their eye and they know they make you feel awkward but instead they just blink a lot until you look down…lol…it happens a lot, lately…volleyball games…ap lit…haha.

ANNOYING!

You walk up to someone turned around and say “HEy man how you been?” and they turn around and they’re not your friend…and you mistook who they were. Quite awkward.

^Lol, I hate that. I also think it’s awkward when people stare at you:/ For example, you are staring around the room and you accidentally make eye contact with someone and they won’t look away!

i seem to catch the same guy staring at me everyday in ap eng.
it’s so weird.

Nice thread.
However, I think that it is extremely awkward when you perceive someone waving at you and then you wave back, but in reality, they were waving to the person behind you…terrible…>.>

^I know, I hate that too:( I never know if they are waving to me, and if they are I feel like I should wave back, but then they might be waving to the person behind me so I don’t know lol
^^There are people who do the same thing to me. It is very awkward, I hate being stared at…it makes me feel uncomfortable:(

All of these are so awkward and true. LOL Especially all the ones about seeing people in the hallway and running into people and keep going the same way. LOL Here’s my awkward moments:

-Going into a building, asking for an application, and everyone who works there looking at you. It’s like they’re sizing you up.
-Meeting someone you hardly know or the first time meeting you hugs you.
-OR Meeting someone you do know well, you go to hug them and they give you a handshake instead. That screams REJECTED! to me. LOL I guess it’s a guy thing because this only happens to me when I greet other guys.
-Someone says a joke to you and everyone laughs/gets it except you.
-Teachers inches away from you watching you mark the answers on a test. It’s extremely nervewracking!
-The class suddenly gets quiet and you’re still talking.
-Laughing at inappropriate moments or when it’s quiet.
-Being paired up by your teacher with someone you have zero in common with and both of you remain quiet when you finish the assignment
-When you’re talking to someone and they yarn, look around for someone else to talk to, start texting, or put their head down. Geez, you don’t have to make it that obvious that you don’t want to talk to me!
-Your stomach growling or having severe gas (LOL!) in class.
-Talking about Christianity or Christian holidays in class, you look over to someone you know isn’t Christian and they look annoyed, bored, or left out

It was kind of awkward in my Spanish class when teacher would just say “no” and then look down and shake his head if someone answered something incorrectly. I always found it to be kinda funny though, even if he did it to me. There was always a really awkward silence.

It’s also awkward when the person next to you says something really funny, so you laugh, but you laugh louder than you meant to, so everyone just kind of stares. Again, Spanish class XD

I love Spanish :D

^ yes hate when you laugh harder than everyone else and ur like ooo…oops…and then look down lol well thats me

Lol, I just remembered one. I definitely tapped this one girl on the shoulder from behind. Except, she wasn’t who I thought she was  I didn’t even know her! Luckily she understood :o

^ ouch

Once I thought someone was like “bye Mapleleafs26” on the bus, so I waved, but now I don’t know if they actually said anything …

Lol, the waving at someone who’s waving to the person(s) behind you has happened to me sooo many times before. Nowadays I just smile.

lol, that always happens to me but I’m so self concious that I’m the person that they’re waving at! I turn around to see If they’re waving at someone behind me and then I realize that they’re waving at me :P
