Awkward situation....what to do?

<p>Over the summer I took a class at a local university, did great, asked the teacher for a recommendation, and she said she would love to. So I gave her a stamped envelope with the required material addressed to my school's office (open in the summer)</p>

<p>It's been about two months, so I sent her an email just to say thanks again and see if she needs any extra info or has any questions, etc. </p>

<p>5 days...no reply yet...??
I'm getting worried b/c she's my only 2nd rec</p>

<p>was it stupid of me to rely on a teacher I never see for a recommendation?
cause that's what I'm thinking right now...</p>

<p>She’s probably really busy right now with classes starting and everything. Try to contact her in person if possible.</p>

<p>Mail it to her, with a cover letter reminding her about you and the recommendation letter.</p>

<p>There is a chance she changed jobs, or something like that. Her email might be different.</p>

<p>Ok…so she’s not listed as teaching any classes for the Fall semester…I don’t have her address, can’t mail her anything. My last resort would be…<em>gasp</em>…facebook msg…but I would never do that haha</p>

<p>so yea…basically I’m screwed…realll crappy situation right now…</p>

<p>If a person does not send a rec when first asked I would not push it, go find someone else.</p>

<p>There was a letter that hung up in the admissions office where I used to do work study that said:</p>

<p>“This is a letter of recommendation for Davin Turner. He is an annoying little twit who kept bugging me to write a recommendation for him, even though I dont remember him whatsoever.”</p>

<p>If you contact the university, you can probably find where she moved.</p>

<p>@BowTie, she agreed right away when I asked her, didn’t even hesitate. If she didn’t want to, I included like 3 ways to contact me on my resume, wouldn’t a notice be in order?</p>

<p>The whole situation is just strange…even if I get a rec from someone else, I’m still gonna need to get to the bottom of this haha</p>
