AYUDEME!: ANYONE who's taken the Spanish SAT!

I am so screwed. I live in a small town and my public school has a pretty weak language program. I had three big tests today and I finally have time to do some cramming. (I know...I'm blaming my inadequacy on outside forces right now). I HAVE to take the Spanish Subject Test because I'd do even worse on math/science tests and I need 3 (already taken Lit and USH). I have the Princeton Review prep book but I'm FREAKING OUT right now and I just need some guidance...

So my question: WHAT SHOULD I DO?

What should I focus on? I would be thrilled with anything above a 600 and I have like four hours left of studying time....HELP? Please? Some idea of what the test is like/how hard it is from people who have taken it? THANK YOU!

I took the test, and all I can say is, if your school does not have a good Spanish program, you are probably better off taking something else.

Ughh...I know. I really don't have an option. What would you recommend studying last minute?

Study prepositions...those came up on the test a lot. It's too late for vocabulary, so prepositions and the basic tenses (present, preterite, imperfect, future, and I suppose the perfect tenses)

Subjunctive would be nice to understand, but if you don't have a pretty firm grasp on it already, you don't have enough time.

Ser vs. Estar
Para vs. Por
Preterite vs. Imperfect

KNOW THOSE 3!!!!!!!!!

part one is really really easy. its just mostly simple vocab you should know. part two is paragraph fill ins. you will want to hang yourself (PREPOSITIONS ARE EVERYWHERE -- ie. que vs. cual, para vs. por)
part three is reading comprehension -- luck of the draw if you can understand vocab in passage. asks about tone (tone?! what?! why am i doing ap english in spanish?! -- thats how i felt)

four years of spanish: 660

Yeah, I went in so confident that I would own that test...I have the highest Spanish grade at my high school. 560!!

Because of that test, I have to take some other SAT II tomorrow in hopes that colleges will look past it and focus on nicer numbers.

But since you absolutely have to take this test...I would advise you to go to sleep. Relax, rest well, have a good breakfast. It is the night before the test and there is no way any more studying will help you for a language.

If you are relatively lucid, you will probably fare decently. If you are taking more than one test, DO NOT take Spanish last. My brain was mush by the time I got to this, and that is probably one of the reasons why I did so poorly. I just wanted to get out of there.
Good luck

Thanks everyone! I actually think I'm going to postpone the test. I'm having a minor anxiety attack right now. Three hour family discussion about whether or not I should take it tomorrow ended in tears and I still haven't entirely made up my mind.

How bad is it to take your 3rd SAT II in January? Will colleges not look at my app until that's in?

terrible test... take something else (im in spanish 5 and i suck at it)

have u looked in to Barron's? I found it quite useful..

I didn't prep for the test, I thought that 5 years of spanish (and a good Spanish V class) would be enough preparation for me to do well. Just make sure you know lots of vocab. I got a 620, after expecting much better.

Well, that was pretty bad. Maybe colleges will understand my situation?? Probably not.
