I'm currently transferring to suny old westbury, my gpa is low (2.5) and I would like to get a business degree but I don't know if I enter into the finance program if I will be able to raise my gpa substancialy. Someday I would like to enter into a MBA or law school. I saw this degree B.A in Politics,Economics and Law. I am interested in law and economics and enjoy politics. Is this degree worth wild or should I just jump into finance? Could a PEL degree even get me a job right after school?

Question one- Only you can answer whether you can raise your GPA.
Question two- No.

If you’re interested in both law and business, I would double major in econ and finance. It only requires about 3-4 more hours at my school (but I don’t know about yours). Econ is versatile, because it requires quantitative skills that will help you get work, but it’s also a policy/social kind of science that is good for pre-law/politics. Finance goes hand in hand, and if you’re interested in business, it can help you get a job.
