Which path would be better (specifically in each of these areas: business, public administration, local/state govt, and law school)?

-A double major with a BA in Econ and a BA in Polisci (and possible history minor)
-A BA in Econ with minors in Polisci and Finance (and possible history minor)

Also, The first option would mean 15 hour semesters the next 2 years (with one being maybe 12). The second option would mean 15 hours my junior year (fall and spring each), and 12 hours or less my senior year (fall and spring each).

I am entering my junior year this fall at the University of Louisville in KY.

Economics majors have among the highest scores on LSATs. Poli-Sci majors don’t do so well and are among the most numerous (and most numerously rejected) law school applicants. Focusing on a great GPA in economics wins for law school.

Also, in the event that you decide law school isn’t for you, which degree would you rather depend on to land a job in business? Pretty easy choice. Economics with a high GPA.

Poli-Sci is the classic Ivy League degree. It’s “a college degree” where you learn to write great essays and talk to people but leave with no new technical skills. It happens to be my favorite subject in the world but I would never major in it.

Your major doesn’t matter, so major in PolySci and become the next POTUS. Econ wouldn’t be bad either. Are you sure you wanna add the minors and double majors? That might affect your GPA, which is half of the only thing that matters.
