b in art

so i got a b in design and mix media which i took for an art credit. how will this affect my chances with 3 a's and one class is ap euro. yea dont feel sorry for me i pretty much used that class as a study hall so i deserve it.

btw way I'm a sophomore and by my chances I mean schools like UCLA and Stanford. Not the way I imagined starting my sophomore year I was expecting more A's lol. Well at least this is a wake up call. I think I just posted so someone would tell me that's not so bad. Also do you think colleges will think art is not such a big deal. Man I feel like an Asian no offense.

That's not so bad.

might make the admissions officer laugh? They might also asume that u did not put in time and might detract from it i dunno. Overall if u limit your b's to maybe one or two MAX in the remaining years u shuld prolly be fine.

...It's fine.

I got five A's in five AP classes, yet pulled a B- in Ceramics II. I'm not sure many schools even factor in arts classes to calculate GPA, and if they do, an admissions officer at Standford isn't going to reject you because you got a B. Although I don't know that for sure, I just can't imagine an admissions officer is going to look at your application less favorably because you got a B in art.

I've heard that admissions officers only look at your academic classes.

Oh, I failed gym class and still got accepted to five schools. It's not a big deal.

normally I would have been happy but ever since i came onto this site it has filled me with crazy doubt.

Step 1. Can you fix it? Don't think of it as study hall! (Or only half of it as study hall) Get on the teacher's good side, do what she asks, and ask questions.

Step 2. Deal with it. It's not an academic class, and the worst thing colleges will think is, "Hmm, a tad lazy." We're all human, so try and fix your mistake, and if not, it's not going to make or break you.
