I just got accepted to the Wharton; however, it looks like I'm going to end up with a B in Calc for my first semester. It's my only B this year (I've had 2 others thanks to my crazy Chem teacher) but since it's in calc and wharton is so math oriented, will this result with my acceptance being rescinded?
*oh ya, I just moved to a new school system this year and they weight my old transcript differently, so it's possible that this B will push me out of the top 10% even though I was in the top 5% at my old school

No, your admissions decision should not be rescinded. Calc is not an easy class and Penn understands that. If you were failing, that would be a different story!

Thanks katejacobs. . .does anybody else have feedback? I can’t believe I got in (as I’ve said on other forms by now) and am just waiting for somthing to take it away. . .so I’ve been trying to figure out if my paranoia is justified or merely caused by me being overly stressed out. Thanks for the help

Penn wouldn’t rescind over one B. Maybe straight B’s would be a red flag, but it’s ONE B, so calm down and get ready for Wharton 2014!

Surely you jest. They’ll rescind over an F.

I got an F and still didn’t get rescinded…

Probably shouldn’t test this though. Just do decently and don’t freak out.

You have to TRY to get your acceptance rescinded… like multiple failures. I didn’t have a single A my senior year of high school and it’s all good.

is this a ■■■■■? you have got to be kidding…

They speakth the truth. I got a C- and a B second term senior year as well. You will be alright as long as you don’t pull straight C or fail.

@ticky: seriously? lmao…

My friend got rescinded from community college for getting an A-. True story.

lmao at OP, don’t worry you won’t be rescinded.

Thanks guys, and no I’m not a ■■■■■. . .just a paranoid hs senior who doesn’t want to have his dream school snatched away at the last minute

Chill, you’re fine.
