So wikipedia lists matriculation rate at 77 percent for wharton and lower for other penn departments. Is it really the rate of students who end up going after being accepted? So that means 23 percent or about 1/4 are accepted but rescinded? And that number is even higher for other schools? What is this madness. I feel like my D in multi v. calc is gonna get me rescinded.

No, twenty three percent end up going to other schools. Twenty three percent are NOT rescinded.

hahalolk is correct. However, that D might be enough to warrant a rescinding of your acceptance. It only increases your chances of having your acceptance rescinded; it certainly doesn’t lower it.

So what are the matriculation requirements? I mean like a bottom line or a rule of thumb. Do you guys know anybody who has been deferred to another school?

NVM ignore my previous post. I didn’t know what matriculation rate meant. Big misunderstanding. I feel better now though

tonys: You are not worried about getting rescinded? That D in calculus is not looking too great.

I’ve never heard of anyone getting rescinded, although that D is going to look terrible. They’ll probably send you an e-mail.
