B.S in arch and M.Arch questions

Ok, I want to major in architecture and this is what I understand about the program, during your fresh and soph years you have to take pre-requisite classes, then you transfer to the taubman college of arch for your Jr. and Sr. years, What if you are not accepted for transfer? also, the b.s in arch program is non-professional so if you want to practice arch professionally you have to get your m.arch, is this correct? Lastly, do you have to be accepted to the m.arch program?

Anyone…?

you need to get a masters and work a minimum three years in order to get your professional architect license. However, the license isn’t needed to work as an architect nor is it needed for internships, etc. Getting your license will simply help your resume dramatically [because it shows that you passed a certain level and allows you to call yourself an “Architect”], allow you to work directly with public infrastructure [i.e. governmental work], and allow you to manage companies.

If you’re not accepted as a transfer… I don’t know what to say. You’re not accepted and you have to make your own decision on what to do next whether it be staying in your current college (LSA/COE) or perhaps transferring to another architecture school. It shouldn’t be too difficult if you study and try hard in school, be involved with the architect community in some way, etc.
