first, how is your weighted gpa 5.2? second, your subject tests are a little low. I mean, if you are taking advanced calc at a college and have all these awards, you should have an 800 in math 2 easily. For your extra curriculars, you need something to show you really want to be a doctor, or at least care about people somewhat. Your essays better be excellent and need to explain why you want to be a doctor and are capable of doing so. Chancing you is a kind of rediculous, as the bs/md programs are very competitive and hard to predict.

I just finished my second year at the Columbian college of arts and sciences at The George Washington University in DC and I just got accepted to the Fordham Rose Hill campus in the Bronx, nyc as a rising junior. Although I did make many friends at GW, I did not like the school nor the city but I only have two more years left. Should I transfer to Fordham to a City in which I like or Should I stay at GW?

@bsmd… Yeah, maybe I’m wrong in saying that his subject tests are a little low because most of them are indeed great scores. I’m just saying it’s a little odd to get a 5 in calc bc and be most outstanding math student/National AP scholar but be in the 81st percentile for math II. Maybe admissions officers won’t care (we all know it’s pretty random) but to me it raises a flag a bit.

nah, it doesn’t raise any flags. It just means that he did less desirable (although I still think it’s a great score) than what he normally does in math.

OP: At least you have the satisfaction of knowing most adcoms anywhere else would be really impressed with your resume. But…how would you convince them that you REALLY want to be a doctor? You absolutely NEED medical EC’s in there (shadowing, hospital volunteering, internships, etc).
