What are some BA/MD or accelerated programs in Canada? Also, in general, are there any good med programs in Canada?

I believe the University of Manitoba, Universite Laval (something French), and Dalhousie have them. That's what the MSAR book says, anyway.

Thanks. Are there other places? Like maybe in Ontario?

I remember reading that Dalhousie had a BS/MD program on the AAMC, however I was always been unable to find information about such a program on Dalhousie's website.

As far as I know, Canada does not have any combined medical programs.

One thing that can be misleading is that on some Canadian med school websites, they refer to the MD as an "undergraduate" degree. While I guess it is an "undergraduate medical degree" you still need a bachelor's degree before you are eligible to apply for most Canadian med schools (some will consider your application after 2-3 years of study)

You can apply to most med schools in Canada after 2 years of undergrad

There are NO bs/md programs in Canada (except one in Quebec but out-of-province student cannot apply to this program).
And I called Dalhousie and asked them personally, and they told me that they’re starting a new pre-med program (which is totally different from a bs/md program).

I’d say University of Calgary and McMaster university are the best choices for those who want to pursue medicine.

I live in Hamilton and my brother is currently enrolled in the Health Sciences program at McMaster. Virtually everyone in the program becomes a doctor.

hopefully this helped.
