BA/MD students, Schloarships...

so those that get into the 8 yr BA/ MD program... do they usally get a full ride also?

i got in buti didn't get a scholarship.

that's still nice though :) and still mean your the cream of the crop.
It would make sense that if a person gets into the BA/MD program, then he or she would also qulaify for a scholarship.

I got into Bac/MD and got the Presidential. My friend, who's also in Bac/MD got the Trustee.

that's awesome. So what schools did you turn down?

I turned down UCLA, Berkley, UPenn, Washington U in St.Louis, Stanford, and University of Utah. I agree with you too...I only got presidential because of National Merit...I wasn't even considered for a scholarship like my friends who hand lower stats. Alas...Bac/MD is worth it. What about you? are you Bac/MD? On facebook?

I'm still a porspective applicant. I was just wondering.

Does anyone know about how many people get into USC BMD every year out of how many total applicants?

isn't it 35 (in the end) out of a few thousand?
I think that's what I read... but it's been a couple months now.

They take between 30 to 40 depending on the year...usually it's in the upper 30s because one or two students may not go.

they accept about 30 out of 700

if accepted into the Ba/MD program, do you actually DO anything specifically for the program your first four years? or do you jsut get to know "hey, i already have a spot in med school!" ?

You "Do" a lot actually. You have to take an intro to medicine course, you have to do three rotations: clinical, research, and teaching. You have to keep your grades up and do moderately well on the MCATs but bottom line, you can do all these things without too much pressure or worry

thanks, TobeTrojan. thats exactly what i was wondering about- the intro to medicine and the rotations that you outlined. on the application materials i have it says nothing about these so i didnt know what the program was like.

do you guys mind posting ur stats (those that got into ba/md)
