Back from Japan.

I got back from Japan around 2:30 PM yesterday. The flight was only 11 hours, which was two hours shorter than on the way there. I had a really good time. I miss my host families a lot. I hope I can go back there one day and visit them. I wanted to see more of Tokyo than we actually did. I just saw some of it on the train. It looked really nice. We stayed in a town of about 80,000 people called Tsubame, a city about thirty minutes outside Niigata City, in Niigata City, on the western side of Japan. I did a lot of stuff while I was there. We climbed a mountain, visited a lot of temples a shrines, shopped a lot, went to the sea, went to a karaoke place, and spent time with our host families. I had a great time and I'm very glad I went. I wouldn't have traded it for the world.

When we got there, everyone was homesick for the first few days, but after that we were fine. On our way back, when we met at the train station to go to the airport, everyone was crying, including our host families. We were really sad. I'm planning on keeping in touch with my host families. I sent an email to my second family yesterday and already got a reply. I hope I can see them again. I'm really going to miss the four year old boy, Nanami. I had a blast with him. He was hilarious.

I guess that's all... now it's time to get back to prep school admissions. I have to plan a lot of tours.

ようこそ! のように聞こえる 戯れ!

I can't read Japanese.

Edit - I used a translator and it said that you said, "Welcome! The play that のように sounds like!"

So yeah... what? lol.

ようこそ! のように聞こえる 戯れ!

K, I put that through Google's translator and this is what I got: Welcome! The way the play which is audible!

At least the first part makes sense.... -_-;

Google really sucks with Asian languages.

Get to see any of the nightlife? You haven't seen Japan if you haven't walked around a big city at night (esp. Tokyo). ^^

No, I didn't. I only saw parts of Tokyo on the train.

あなたの旅行がいかにあったかこんにちはjonny…か。

Tokyo is a really cool place. I got to stop by twice this summer, but it was only for transferring flights. I love the Narita Airport. The Internet cafe was free, as long as you had a passport. What sucked was that the keyboard had Japanese and English characters, so sometimes my words would randomly convert into a different language...
