bad ab calc grade

so after a long year of not paying attention to the teacher i ended up with a 78% for the year in my ab calc class. however, during that time of not paying attention i taught myself calc II and got a 5 on the bc exam with a 5 ab subscore. otherwise i had all high a's and am ranked 7/523. i am the only student in the top 20 who ever got a c in a class.

will colleges look at this as a bad student teacher relationship, as i did all of the work and got 99% of the answers right, or as a slacking student, or a some combination of, or as a very motivated student? (i hope it is the last, but somehow, that seems unlikely)

thanks

well you got a damn 5 on the calc bc test. it might be construed as you being lazy but gifted, or the teacher being bad (and you self-studying). either way, who knows.

That could probably be interpreted as you being inconsistent,
or you improving with a lot of self-study, which actually is very nice.

is there a way which i can have the 5 listed next to my grade, since the grade does not represent my knowledge on the subject? i have a question in for my guidance counselor, but we are not on very good terms so she will probably not be overly accommodating.

No, but you can send in your AP scores when you apply.
