Bad ap score?

i got a very bad ap score on micro eco..... and 2 other fine scores .. can i only report the 2 good scores to colleges? will they see the bad one? btw is it wise to report a "3"? will that hurt??

Threes won't necessarily hurt you, though at the most selective schools they won't help. I would never think selectively reporting scores would be a good idea, as if they get a hand on all your scores, and you didn't report them all, it looks deceptive, or at least seems less open and genuine than reporting all scores. Plus, AP scores have a relatively minor role in admissions, and so it really isn't worth the trouble to report some and not others, in my opinion.

Actually, I think you can legitimately report only the best AP scores since they aren't required for admission. They're considered an "extra".
Also, colleges won't be seeing your ap's at all...only the school you attend will need to have them in order for class placement purposes - Even then, if you don't want them to have them and don't want the credit, you aren't required to send them at all.
My son took the AP language test even though he didn't take the AP class, as his teacher recommended that he do so. Had he not done well, I would have advised him to leave the score off the application.
There's no obligation on the student's part to report the AP scores.

Selectively reporting your best AP scores is recommended by admissions officers. They are looking for a reason to admit you and good AP scores can only help. Like the others have said, there's no need to send an official score report to colleges for the admissions process, so paying for score withholding is useless. Self reporting is the only way colleges get your AP scores (unless your school puts them on transcripts, which you can try and ask them to omit)

A 3 is not a bad AP score... A 3 may not get you credit, but it still looks good... Do not consider it a bad score...
