<p>im at one of the top, if not the top public highschools in the country and i am taking both precalculus and ap calculus bc right now but am doing HORRIBLY in bc calc- about 80 avg if im lucky. i know i can pull off atleast a 3/4 on the ap calc bc test but i know this is going to hurt me greatly when applyign to colleges and scuh.<br>
how important is calculus really if i just want to go into medicine??</p>
<p>i think you should concentrate on getting into college first, then, i believe, college grades & MCAT counts for med school.</p>
<p>I doubt calculus is very important for med school. However, many med schools will require you to take math in college (including at least a semester of calculus).</p>
