Bad freshman+sophmore grade?

So during my freshman and sophomore year in high school, I got pretty mediocre grades;all of my grades (excluding useless classes such as physical education) were in the B’s. I was in all honors courses in freshman year and 4 APs in sophomore year but these numerous B’s are a real impediment to the colleges I want to go. To make matters worse, in sophomore year, I had a TERRIBLE new physics teacher (as in he was removed from teaching physics the year right after). I got a C! And even so, I was mid-class ranking (our school doesn’t do class ranking though). I had to drop it after the first semester.
However, the second semester, I improved quite a bit, having half of my grades as A’s. This year, junior year, I was taking 3 APs and 2 college courses (actually taking them at the University of UConn with college students) with straight As. I’m wondering if I continue this trend up, will colleges ignore or put off weight from my under-classmen years?

Thanks in advance.

I guess it depends upon selectivity of the colleges you are interested in. If you score really well on SAT and keep up the good grades then they’ll see an upward pattern. Good ECs and recommendation letters mentioning your zest to turn things around may help as well.

Even if things don’t turn out the way you want, you can keep up the good work wherever you go and apply for transfer to one of your dream school in two years.
