alrite so rencently ive been worryin about my chances going to college. I am currently a junior but my grade right now is terrible. last semester i had a gpa of 2.57 and this semester im expecting worse. i took act n got a score of 25. i also took SAT 2 tests such as korean which i got 800, spanish 670, chemistry 600 and planning to take history (is it necessary?)
my weighted acad gpa (9-12) is 2.89 Acad gpa (10-12) is 2.75 and my total gpa (9-12) is 3.06. My class size right now is 549 and im 194. Also, 10-12 rank im 260. i played soccer 2yrs. which colleges can i go to?i would like ucs if not CSUs. please wat r my chances?? also what can i do that would help me improve my chances at getting into any csus? (fullerton preferred)

please, would you use grammar and rewrite your post
if i understood it, i would chance you

CSUs seem like your only option to me. Not must you can do during the last semester of your junior year. Do volunteer work? Refresh your grammar skills so you can write a great essay? Maybe try a community college.

I agree with waitingforcal. There’s not much you can do during your last year of junior year. But hey, you never know. Outstanding essays can get you far.

chance back?

ok so you got a 25 on your ACTso that means you know something, but it does tell colleges that you might not be trying your best when it comes to school work… write an awesome essay and that should do it… just your gpa sucks… not everything… work a little harder next year maybe you will raise your gpa a little
but back on the topic, your chances are not limited, you’ll do fine in any college just work hard on all you do

good luck

Keep taking standardized tests as long as you can afford them, up until about December of your senior year. If there’s an outlier that’s dragging your score down, study that.
SAT 2s are another way of showing colleges what you’re good at. 2 stellar scores (you’ve already got one in Korean) can be a hook. So I would recommend taking another SAT 2.
Could you extrapolate on your ECs and leadership roles? It won’t change a low GPA, but can provide a hook for nontraditional schools (like Evergreen). Was the GPA due to taking a bunch of APs?

Im guessing since he got an 88 in SAT 2-Korean, that his grammar isn’t suffering due to ebign a anative speaker all fo his life, or if it is, then you need to work on that more. You have a low GPA, and your ACT score is low for UCs. if in state the CSU system is for you, if yout, then look into your own state. raise your ACT, work on essays and have people proof read them A LOT, do soemthing with your summer, and keep up with the sports. Make sure that you can provide an upward trend of grades your final year in highschool and then apply by rolling admissions with great essays, SATs and ACT and you’ll do fine. what was your ACT writing score, cuz that can play a part as well in UC admissions for validity checking on writing skills.
