Bad SAT breakdown - retake?

I have a 2290 SAT, which I would be perfectly happy.... if the scores of each of the 3 sections are distributed a bit more evenly.

My breakdown is a 690 CR, 800 M, and 800 W. I'm not a native speaker, but I don't think that's an excuse anymore considering I moved to US quite early (in fifth grade).

My problem is that the composite looks perfectly fine, but I think the breakdown makes it too obvious that English is my weak spot. I've asked around friends and teachers, and I've gotten mixed opinions (most people don't know what to tell me and say it's a weird situation), so I'm hoping for some CC feedback.

I did a ACT practice test earlier, and I felt it was significantly more manageable than SAT.

I'm a rising senior, so time is running out for me. I'm really worried about my scores and its obvious implications. I'm aiming for Ivies and my top choice is MIT. Do you guys think I should take the ACT in the fall?

Pretty funny as I just received my scores:

CR: 660
Math: 800
Writing: 800

Total: 2260

From what I was thinking, on the one hand, colleges may not take the writing section too seriously, and may simply look at the 1460 CR + M (1490 in your case). On the other hand, say you take it one more time and do worse on either M or W, even if your CR improves. Is that really worth the superscore?

Your decision.

But I am going through the same exact situation right now, so if anybody would like to add some input, please do.

If the SAT doesn’t drive you completely crazy, and you have time to study, go for it! Improving Critical Reading to like 740+ would make you both very viable candidates at any college!
