Bad SAT II score - Physics

I have taken 3 SAT IIs so far, and I'm getting depressed. I took US History, Math II, and Physics but other than math, my scores are in 600s.
At this rate, I don't think I'll get into a college I want to get in.
I was expecting to do better because I took AP exams on US History and Physics and did fine (5 and 4 respectively). And on the practice tests for Physics I scored 750~800.
I'm planning to take Physics again in December, but I'm at a point of not trusting prep books anymore.
Was the November Physics test particularly hard or was it the prep book I studied from?
And how much do colleges actually care about SAT II scores? To what extent will my SAT II scores hurt my chances of getting into top colleges?

Depends on the colleges. For the ones that require them (and especially the ones that require three like Harvard and Princeton) it might hurt a bit at. A lot of the ones that only require 2 will only look at the 2 highest so if you get the physics up to 700s then you should be good for those. As far as I know for the ones where they're recommended, they can help you if they're good but won't really do much damage as long as they're not horrible (600s is still quite good) and for all the other ones (which are most colleges) they won't even care that you took them.
