Bad SAT score, Better ACT score...send both?

Alright, so, I'm unsure of what to do here. I have a 33 on the ACT (retook, probably a 34), and a 2090 on the SAT. For most of the colleges I'm applying to, my ACT score is about even with the 75th percentile, but my SAT score is definitely a little low. Is it to my advantage to send only the ACT, or should I send both? I know most colleges say they only look at the best score, but I feel like the SAT score will still make a difference.

Any help is much appreciated!

bump

I would really appreciate any help! I know I come across as some boring, annoying kid(probably am), but I really need the help.

I would recommend you send ACT only; the colleges won’t even know that you took the SAT if you just pretended you didn’t. You don’t even need to sneakily use score choice to hide your SAT score; just don’t request CB to send your SAT score.

A 33 ACT is MUCH better than a 2090 SAT. Send only the ACT.

Thanks for the help, guys. I have one follow-up question: will I be side-stepping any rules by not reporting SAT scores? Do some colleges require you to send it if you have taken it?

^I would say no. If you don’t report any SAT scores, the colleges will just assume you only took the ACT. There’s no way that the colleges will know that you even took the SAT (unless your school puts all your test grades on your transcript).

It depends on the college. I asked a Rice University admissions officer what she meant by sending ALL scores and she said that it meant all SAT scores OR all ACT scores. So if I took both I could just choose either.

so what if my school puts all my test grades on my transcript which is already sent. Can i still not send one of my test scores?
