I just finished sophomore year and I'm going to do SAT prep this summer at a tutoring center. They place us into specific SAT Prep classes, like Regular, Honors, Advanced....
I took the test and got a 1330. I think I did a lot better on the PSAT.
Omg...I just finished Geometry so does that affect my score a lot? I skipped a lot of the Algebra 2 questions. Also, I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted?!?! Weighted is 4.2, because sophomores are only allowed one AP class, unless you are a Spanish speaker and you also take AP Spanish (I'm not). The test was different because for most of the sections, we only did half of the questions in that section. We also skipped one whole section.

What did you get on your PSAT sophomore year? I want a 2000+, am I doomed at 1330?

I also pretty much did no studying for this. I did not realize this was the last week to take it and I woke up drowsy at 8am (Hey it's summer -_-)

That’s a dangerous question. Put it in your thread and it’s the only one people will answer. (Also, I got a 210!!!1111)

Eh, grade inflation.

Seriously, though, you need to figure out why you’re doing so badly. What kind of questions do you get wrong? What happens when you guess instead of skipping? (Don’t give up on a question without trying for at least a few seconds.)

To make you feel better, I got a 1290 on my SAT.

You’re not doomed, trust me. You can either study some more and retake it, or you can try the ACT. Don’t stress over it too much, it’s not a BIG deal. I’m not saying that the SATs are not important, but you shouldn’t let a silly score get to you. Next time, make sure you study :).

My highest SAT from junior year was almost 500 points higher then my sophomore year PSAT. Don’t worry English 3 and Algebra 2 will help a lot with your score…

Try the ACT. You may do better. Though I took both simulations and got a 24 on the ACT and a 1950 on the SAT both with no studying. Big difference. Lol.
